What Is VS Mode?
VS mode is a feature on LoL Wheel that spins two random champions at the same time and displays them in a dramatic, full-screen split layout. One champion fills the left half of your screen, the other fills the right. You pick one or let your viewers decide with live voting.
Why VS Mode Exists
Classic champion randomizers give you a single result. That works — but it removes all agency. You either play what the wheel gave you or you respin. VS mode keeps the randomness while giving you a choice: two random champions, you pick one.

How VS Mode Works
- Visit lolwheel.com and select the VS tab at the top
- Filter by role if you want (Top, Jungle, Mid, ADC, Support)
- Spin the wheel — two champions are randomly selected
- See both champions in a full-screen split view with splash art backgrounds
- Pick one by clicking their side, or start a viewer vote first
The Full-Screen Split Layout
When two champions are selected in VS mode, the entire screen splits in half:
- Left side: Champion 1's splash art covers the full left half with their name and lane tags overlaid
- Right side: Champion 2's splash art covers the full right half
- Center: A pulsing VS badge sits between the two halves
- Bottom of each side: A gold "Pick" button to choose that champion
On mobile, the layout stacks vertically — each champion takes half the screen height.
Live Viewer Voting
VS mode supports the same voting system as classic mode, but tailored for two-champion matchups:
- Start Vote — click the vote button between the two champions
- Share the Link — a unique URL is generated (valid for 60 seconds)
- Viewers Vote — viewers open the link and see both champions in the same full-screen split layout, tapping the side of the champion they want you to play
- Live Results — vote bars update in real time showing the percentage for each champion
- Timer Expires — after 60 seconds, the vote locks and the winner is highlighted
How Voting Maps
Under the hood, voting uses the same yes/no system as classic mode:
- Yes = Champion 1 (left side)
- No = Champion 2 (right side)
This means the voting API is fully backward compatible. The VS voter page at /vote/vs/[id] simply presents the two-champion layout instead of a single-champion play/skip choice.

Spin VS mode five times. Each time, pick the champion you'd rather play. After five rounds, you have a pool of five champions for the session.
Chat Decides Everything
Start a vote for every VS spin. Whatever chat picks, you play. No overrides, no rerolls.
